This photographic project introduces an urban area that has a strong impact in the identity of the city. The "civic pride", a sense of ownership among those who call it home, is the thread that drives resistence to a community.

In this body of work, it will be focused the St. Paul's psychogeography.
The strong sense of community and how it has been fading with some factors like gentrification and, recently, the Covid crisis.

The urban fabric is essencially made by a large scale immigration from Jamaica and Ireland. The poverty and the strong identity makes the locality unique, looking for urban solutions to provide more dignity for the population.

In a city where statues of slaveholders are overthrown, there is a feeling of redemption from the past of domination, exploiting and slavery.
